About Zip Co Ltd

Zip Co Ltd (ASX: ZIP) is an Australian financial technology company that has grown its operations in Australia and New Zealand to provide customer services in 12 countries. Formerly Zipmoney Ltd, Zip Co offers point-of-sale credit and digital payment services to consumers and merchants via interest-free buy-now, pay-later (BNPL) technology.

Founded in 2013, Zip Co emerged as Australia's second-largest BNPL provider as consumer demand for the payment system rocketed during the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the Zip share price has languished at multi-year lows in 2022 amid various factors, including inflation, supply chain issues and BNPL industry regulation.

Its market capitalisation has also tumbled, from more than $5 billion in March 2021 to $500 million in November 2022.
