United Overseas Australia Ltd. is an investment holding company, which engages in property development, investment, management, and construction. It operates through the following segments: Investments, Land Development & Resale, and Others. The Investment segment includes the holding of investment properties to generate rental income, capital appreciation or both. The Land Development & Resale segment involves in development, construction and sale of residential and commercial properties. The Others segment engages in operations of hotel and food and beverage outlets, provision of facilities, support services and carpark operations, revenue from moneylending services and provision of management services. The company was founded by Chong Soon Kong and Pak Lim Kong in 1987 and is headquartered in Leederville, Australia.

Mr. Kong has also served as a director of UOA Development Bhd, Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad Listed.

Mr. Kong has over 45 years of experience in the construction, mining and property development industries in both Malaysia and Australia. He has worked in capacities in Australia, among them as Project Engineer in Davis Wemco in charge of mining design, construction and material handling and as a Director of Ferro Engineering Pty Ltd responsible for structural and mechanical fabrication of oil & gas and mining equipment. He co-founded United Overseas Australia Ltd with Mr. Chong Soon Kong and has played an integral part in spearheading the Group's growth. Mr. Kong has also served as a director of the UOA Development Bhd, Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad Listed.
