About Catapult Sports Ltd

Catapult Group International Ltd (ASX: CAT) develops and sells wearable technology to gather data on athlete performance. Its sensors and software systems provide real-time data and analytics to coaches and sporting organisations, specifically monitoring and measuring athlete fitness, skill levels, response to specific training techniques, tactical performance, risk of injury, and rehabilitation assessment.

Originally born from a partnership between the Australian Institute of Sport and the Australian government's Cooperative Research Centres in the lead-up to the Sydney 2000 Olympics, Catapult was founded in 2006.

Working with around 3,000 of the world's leading professional sports teams across 40 sports, Catapult has expanded its technology to incorporate athlete management and video analysis. It also develops tracking devices for the consumer market and amateur sports.

Much of the company's revenue comes from the US market and is generated via SaaS (software as a service) subscriptions. A smaller portion is generated in Australia, as well as Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia-Pacific.
