About CAR Group Ltd

Carsales.com.au (ASX: CAR) is Australia's leading online portal for the buying and selling of motor vehicles including motorbikes, trucks, caravans, and boats. It also operates in digital marketplaces across Oceania, Asia, and the Americas.

The company was founded in Melbourne in 1997 with the idea of moving the print classified advertising of used vehicles onto the internet. This first-mover advantage saw the business build a sizable following.

Although larger media players have tried to derail its popularity, Carsales.com is by far the dominant site of choice for consumers. The company is recognised within the industry for its technological developments, particularly its use of artificial intelligence. It is a fixture of the ASX 100.
